Wells Fargo Championship

Pete equalled his best performance in the 2018 season with a share of fifth place at the Wells Fargo Championship, matching his display at the WGC-HSBC Champions.

He began the week with rounds of 72 and 72 before producing a stunning round of 62 on Saturday.

His third round included a run of 18 shots for six holes, picking up seven strokes between the fifth and the 10th. Pete ended the week with a 71 to finish five shots behind winner Jason Day.

Pete is now 55th in the Official World Golf Rankings and 62nd in the FedEx Cup rankings.

Speaking after his third round, Pete said: "The way the course was set up, it felt like you get after it a bit. The first two days felt like a US Open."
